Nick Hardgrove Memorial Player Scholarship Program

It is the mission of AYSO Region 418 to provide world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives and are accessible to all children who wish to participate, irrespective of financial status. The Nick Hardgrove Memorial Player Scholarship Program was established to support this mission.

Nick Hardgrove was an AYSO and Northwind soccer coach and volunteer, who had a tremendous impact on hundreds of boys and girls before he passed away in the Fall of 2014. For Nick, it was all about the kids. Always. His signature coaching style focused on the fun of the game and giving each kid confidence to succeed. He was passionate about sports, and loved to be on the pitch with the kids.

Our scholarship program is supported by the generous donations of our AYSO Region 418 families. Please consider giving the gift of soccer by making a tax-deductible donation at checkout when you register your child in one of our programs. Donations will be used to provide financial assistance to families for whom the registration fees would otherwise be a financial barrier to enrolling their children.

To apply for financial assistance in the Northwind program, visit www.northwindsoccer.com to submit an application for a Nick Hardgrove Player Scholarship through FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment. There is a $35 application fee. Please have your federal 1040 tax forms and schedules ready before starting the application. If you do not file a federal income tax return as a low-income applicant, email the Registrar at [email protected] to request a free scholarship application for low-income families.
