- In order to ensure the safety of all of the members of our Region 418 family, we do background checks on all of our adult volunteers each and every year, so all coaches, referees and regional administrators must annually register as volunteers.
- Background checks are done annually to ensure that we are doing everything possible to never place our kids' well being at risk. Any volunteer who is going to be directly working with our youth players or possibly come in contact with their personal information will have passed a comprehensive background check and is required to complete AYSO Safe HavenĀ® training as well as position-specific training courses. AYSO in-person and online training focuses on the best ways to work with children and important safety protocols.
- Our volunteer registration system has the highest levels of security to maintain the confidentiality of our volunteers' information. When you register as a volunteer, you will be given an AYSO ID which is used to track the completion of training and certifications necessary, depending on the role you wish to fill.
Our CVPA (Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate) is your resource if you have questions or problems completing this process. Feel free to contact the Region 418 CVPA regarding any volunteer registration question you may have by emailing [email protected].
