The tryout committee recognizes that tryouts are extremely important to players and families. We have tried to make the tryout process a fair, fun, and pressure-free environment for the players. 

The decision to place a player on a team is never made unilaterally, but through group deliberation and consensus. This ensures a fair and objective tryout selection process.

By using an evaluation system that utilizes multiple criteria, the tryout committee’s goal is to ensure that its final decision on team placement is objective and holistic. Decisions are made after a thorough and careful review by the tryout committee. 

Players in the 9U through 12U age divisions will be evaluated for acceptance to either a Northwind team or an EXTRA team. Players in these age divisions who receive an invitation to a Northwind team will have the option to be placed on an EXTRA team instead of a Northwind team, depending on their preference. Players may not be concurrently rostered on both Northwind and EXTRA teams.
